Engineering talent steers its way to AllBoat Services
AllBoat Services (ABS), which has been providing engineering services alongside technical products to boat owners over the last three decades, has announced the creation of two more jobs and the promotion of Lloyd Rees to Operations Manager.
Lloyd, who is 33 and has worked for ABS for the last six years, will manage a team of four mobile marine engineers, to include the two new recruits and a network of approved dealers throughout the UK. Together they will be responsible for carrying out new installations, retrofits, refurbs, servicing and repairs on boats located in marinas, boatyards and driveways across the country.
Since moving into its new purpose-built waterfront premises within the commercial district of Cattedown (Plymouth) last Summer, business has gone from strength to strength for ABS to include several new dealership appointments for Dockmate, Halyard, Marsili and H&B Technics as well as the continuation of its Sleipner Side-Power dealership. Lloyd’s aim will be to take the business forward even further and deliver its products, service support and engineering expertise 24/7 to customers nationwide.
“I’ve always loved living and working in Plymouth and it’s been a huge bonus to develop my career within such a progressive, friendly and family orientated business which has such a great future ahead of it,” says Lloyd Rees who began his career as a Marine Engineer in the Navy before he made the permanent move to Plymouth in 2006. “We’ve already had an amazing start to the year and I’m looking to build on the incredible momentum our team has successfully created,” he adds.

He will be now be responsible for supporting Lloyd in the delivery of a professional, flexible and customer-orientated service, developing the core areas of the business where the team has the greatest strengths, reinforcing corporate identity and establishing ABS as a benchmark for success.
