Success of Poole Boat Show
Despite the mixed bag of weather, the Poole Boat Show in June was another great success in this year’s boat show calendar. We had a lot of visitors to our stand who wanted to find out, in the main, how to simplify life on the water. Sharing over fifty years’ industry experience, our very own ‘Nauticial’ Nick was on hand with local expert Mark Busby to give a range of sound, upbeat advice to those looking to make their boating experience more enjoyable, quieter and safer too.
As the Poole Boat show is small, free and open to the public it attracts a large number of local boating enthusiasts, many of whom are new to the sport or looking to take it up and want all the facts to hand which will ultimately help them spend wisely on their marine investment in the areas that will reap the maximum pleasure and reward.
As AllBoat Services is the UK distributor for Side Power Bow Thrusters and Dockmate’s hand-held wireless remote-controlled docking system, our team spent much of their time demonstrating to visitors how they could make the process of manoeuvring a boat simple, precise, stress free and affordable. They also showcased Halyard’s exhaust systems for those who value the science of silence, want to banish vibration and have less noise on board so that they can enjoy as much peace, quiet and trouble-free time on the water as possible.
The most common questions raised at the show were how to take the pain out of docking, gain greater control away from the helm for lone skippers, improve manoeuvrability for those with mobility issues, and the right way to go about retrofitting an exhaust system.
Credit goes to the organisers for a successful, well organised event. We’ve enjoyed fulfilling all the orders generated at the show as well as the installations and retrofits which flowed from all the enquiries received. We hope the advice we continue to share on our social media feeds, on our website, through our customer hotline and in person will encourage more people to take to the water, maximise the quality time spent on the sea with friends and family, and future-proof boat owners’ investments.
