Our customer brought his boat along the South Coast to us for an installation of a Sleipner Side-Power Bow Thruster. During the journey the boat picked up a rope which had been left in the sea. This caused shaft and propeller damage. The Skipper arranged assistance to bring the craft into our berth where divers removed the rope. We recommended that the stern gear be checked. A sea trial was arranged and our findings passed onto the customer. This resulted in new shafts and propellers being installed.

Whilst the boat was with us our customer used the opportunity to carry out a refit where we addressed some hull repairs below the waterline based around the ‘A’ and ‘P’ brackets. We were also asked to re-spray the hull using Awlgrip primers and top coats. Below the waterline 5 coats of Coppercoat were applied. Various other repairs and modifications were carried out to suit the owner’s requirements.
